PhoneTree is like a reverse answering machine. You record your message and it dials and sends that message to whomever you like. The beauty is that Servant Keeper works seamlessly with PhoneTree to help you send groups of people from Servant Keeper to be called by PhoneTree. Servant Keeper and PhoneTree: the "Dream Team" of church software!
Example: you need to cancel this morning's worship service because of snow. You record "This is the church, today's service is cancelled due to inclement weather, see the website for more information". Next you tell phone tree to call your list of attendees from your Servant Keeper and in minutes everyone is called.
You can also use PhoneTree for interactive messages. Example 1: you need to get a nursery worker to fill in for this week. You send over your group of nursery workers from Servant Keeper and record "We need a nursery worker for this Sunday morning, press '1' if you can fill in, press '2' if you can't". Not only will PhoneTree stop dialing once someone presses '1', it will print you a report to let you know who pressed '1'. Example 2: youth outreach night. You send the youth group from Servant Keeper to PhoneTree and record "Wednesday is the youth jam, press one if you can bring a snack, press 2 if you can bring a drink, press 3 if you need a ride, press 4 for more information".
PhoneTree can also be used for surveys, emergency information lines, prayer chains, direct people to website updates, etc. The possibilities are nearly endless.
